Overview

The Google Drive integration brings your sales content from Drive into trumpet without re-uploading it. Mirror whole shared Drives so they stay up to date automatically, or import just the files you want, then add them to any Pod.

Copilot can find a document from your synced Drive, summarise it and turn it into a Pod widget, so you build from the content you already have.

Seamless mode: shared Drives that stay in sync

Choose shared Drives to mirror into a Google Drive library in trumpet. New, edited, renamed, moved and deleted files are picked up automatically, about every 15 minutes, and Docs, Sheets, Slides and PDFs are searchable by their content.

Managed mode: import the files you choose

Browse Drive and import individual files into your External, Internal or My Library, with a review and tagging step. Each copy gets its own analytics.

Create Pods from files

Add synced files to Pods, or create new Pods from them, one at a time or in bulk.

What syncs

  • Shared Drives you choose, kept in sync about every 15 minutes (Seamless mode)
  • Files you import, as point-in-time copies you can re-sync (Managed mode)
  • Full-text search for Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and PDFs, and filename search for Office files

Before you start

  • A Google account with access to the Drives you want to use.
  • Admins can limit which Drives are available.

Set up

  1. In trumpet, go to Settings, then Integrations, and click Connect on Google Drive.
  2. Sign in with Google and approve access.
  3. Choose Seamless mode and pick your shared Drives, or choose Managed mode to import files.

Yes. Trumpet connects to Google Drive so you can mirror shared Drives into the trumpet content library, import chosen files, and add Drive files to Pods with the Google Drive Picker.

In Seamless mode, trumpet checks your chosen shared Drives about every 15 minutes and picks up new, edited, renamed, moved and deleted files.

Yes. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and PDFs synced from Drive are searchable by their content. Word, PowerPoint and Excel files are searchable by filename.

No. Google Drive stays the source of truth. Tags you add in trumpet aren't written back to Drive, and synced files can't be moved or deleted from trumpet.

Yes. Admins choose which shared Drives are available to sync, and removing a Drive removes its mirrored content from trumpet.
