    Email was never designed to run a deal. Yet here some of you still are.

    It starts innocently enough. A quick follow-up, a couple of next steps, maybe a deck attached. It feels clean, professional. You feel good about it.

    Then three weeks later you’re staring at a thread with 34 replies, six people CC’d who’ve never spoken to each other, and a subject line that still says: Re: Re: Re: Re: Intro call follow up

    So here's 9 relatable reasons why email is out and Digital Sales Rooms are in.

    1. The thread no one can follow

    What started as one email.

    It is now a 107-message chain with three separate conversations happening simultaneously, two of which are no longer relevant.

    Someone replies to an old message. Someone else forwards part of it.

    CHAOS. You don't deserve this.

    2. The outdated PDF situation

    Someone on their side is still working from the deck you sent in week one.

    Not the updated one. No, no, not the one with the correct pricing.

    The first one… with the typo on slide 4.

    3. “Can you resend everything from the start?”

    A new stakeholder joins.

    They can’t see the previous thread.

    You now spend 40 minutes writing a catch-up email that still doesn’t capture what actually happened on that call two weeks ago.

    (The deal resets, quietly).

    4. CC’ing 15 people

    At some point, someone decides to “loop everyone in.”

    Half of them don’t know why they’re there. One of them asks a question that was answered three emails ago.

    Gary replies.

    5. Reply vs reply all (we’ve all done it)

    You meant to reply all.

    Three people are now missing critical context.

    6. Does Outlook search even work?!

    You’re trying to find the email where the VP mentioned the go-live date.

    You type their name. Outlook gives you 847 results.

    None of them are right.

    You scroll. You keep scrolling..

    7. “Final_file_THIS_ONE_v7”

    Nobody knows which version is current.

    Your champion presents version 4 to the board.

    It has the wrong numbers...

    8. Sent without the attachment

    The email was strong. Confident, even.

    The attachment was… not included.

    Someone replies “attached?”

    You consider a career change.

    9. “Thanks for your massage”

    “I’ll update you shorty” also wasn’t the tone you were going for.

    You have zero visibility

    You don’t know if they opened it. You don’t know if they shared it. You don’t know if the CFO has seen it.
